Descrip\u00adtion:<\/em> It was just an aver\u00adage stage hyp\u00adno\u00adsis show, and an aver\u00adage (as is excel\u00adlent hyp\u00adnot\u00adic) sub\u00adject being put through a series of stan\u00addard stage hyp\u00adno\u00adsis rou\u00adtines. He raised his hand to snap his fingers\u2026<\/p>\n

It was then that Paul Mar\u00adcus received his mind-jar\u00adring idea. He held his hand up, fin\u00adgers ready to snap, think\u00ading about this idea, until he heard the audi\u00adence stir\u00adring rest\u00adless\u00adly behind him. Then he shook his head and snapped his fin\u00adgers. Miss Walk\u00ader awak\u00adened slow\u00adly, looked around, got up, and exact\u00adly ten sec\u00adonds lat\u00ader began the street\u00adcar hal\u00adlu\u00adci\u00adna\u00adtions. She per\u00adformed exact\u00adly as com\u00admand\u00aded, again awak\u00adened, and descend\u00aded con\u00adfus\u00aded\u00adly from the stage to more applause and whis\u00adtles. It should have been gratifying.<\/p>\n

But from the moment he received the idea, the per\u00adfor\u00admance could have involved some\u00adone oth\u00ader than Paul Mar\u00adcus for all of the atten\u00adtion he gave it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In cre\u00adat\u00ading a hyp\u00adnot\u00adic illu\u00adsion for his sub\u00adject, Paul momen\u00adtar\u00adi\u00adly shares that illu\u00adsion, and when his sub\u00adject approach\u00ades him back\u00adstage, her dis\u00adclo\u00adsure of the com\u00adplete\u00adness of the illu\u00adsion caus\u00ades him to want to inves\u00adti\u00adgate fur\u00adther. That inves\u00adti\u00adga\u00adtion reveals she is already under a hyp\u00adnot\u00adic com\u00admand to pre\u00adceive real\u00adi\u00adty in a pre-pro\u00adgrammed way and also has blocks to keep her from reveal\u00ading the real\u00adi\u00adty behind the illu\u00adsion. When he con\u00adtin\u00adues the inves\u00adti\u00adga\u00adtion, an alien intel\u00adli\u00adgence inter\u00advenes and re-applies the hyp\u00adnot\u00adic illu\u00adsion to the hyp\u00adno\u00adtist as well as the sub\u00adject, end\u00ading what could have been the end of the alien control.<\/p>\n
