\u201cBatman \u2014 The Brave and the Bold #4\u201d<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe Bride<\/strong><\/em> and the Bold<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/h3>\n

Won\u00adder Woman assists Bat\u00adman by tak\u00ading on the supervil\u00adlain\u00adess Gigan\u00adta while he deals with her part\u00adner Mouse Man. Watch\u00ading the whole com\u00adbat from Mount Olym\u00adpus are the chil\u00addren of Aphrodite (one of the Greek gods who are the patrons of the Ama\u00adzon), Har\u00admo\u00adnia and Eros. Because Eros is dis\u00adgust\u00aded with the way Won\u00adder Woman always fights, he decides to pro\u00advide a lit\u00adtle love in her life, hit\u00adting both her and Bat\u00adman with his Arrows of Love. Under their influ\u00adence they decide to get mar\u00adried, but Bat\u00adman changes his mind about the arrange\u00adments as they are about to enter the Gotham City cour\u00adt\u00adhouse and decides for a large pub\u00adlic wed\u00adding ceremony.<\/p>\n

Such an occur\u00adrence angers Talia, the daugh\u00adter of Ras al Ghul, who is infat\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded with mar\u00adry\u00ading Bat\u00adman her\u00adself. In her anger, she gath\u00aders togeth\u00ader as many of their old foes as pos\u00adsi\u00adble to make an attack on the cer\u00ade\u00admo\u00adny. The fight fea\u00adtures a pletho\u00adra of old Won\u00adder Woman and Bat\u00adman foes, includ\u00ading stal\u00adwarts as the Jok\u00ader, the Pen\u00adguin and Two-Face on one hand, and the Angle Man and the Chee\u00adtah on the oth\u00ader, as well as a host of less\u00ader-known foes. For\u00adtu\u00adnate\u00adly, the guests of the wed\u00adding include a num\u00adber of heroes as well as sev\u00ader\u00adal Ama\u00adzons, all of whom are both annoyed at the inter\u00adrup\u00adtion and glad of the oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to take out some villains.<\/p>\n

All of which annoys Eros even more, until his moth\u00ader Aphrodite her\u00adself appears to chas\u00adtise her son by explain\u00ading that every\u00adthing Won\u00adder Woman does, even fight\u00ading to pro\u00adtect the inno\u00adcent, inspires love. With that, she and her son return to Olym\u00adpus, leav\u00ading Bat\u00adman and Won\u00adder Woman free to final\u00adly stop pre\u00adtend\u00ading. Yes, nei\u00adther of them were under Eros\u2019 spell, at least then. Bat\u00adman freed him\u00adself from the spell when they were at the Gotham City cour\u00adt\u00adhouse, where he saw the image of the woman he tru\u00adly loved, Jus\u00adtice, and he used Won\u00adder Wom\u00adan\u2019s mag\u00adic Las\u00adso of Truth to free her, too. They still kept up the cha\u00adrade in order to lure out the supervillains.<\/p>\n

And, at the end, Super\u00adman won\u00adders whether there ever will be anoth\u00ader woman in Bat\u00adman\u2019s life. Sure enough, on the final page, as a wor\u00adried Mouse Man escapes and won\u00adders how all this got start\u00aded by his lit\u00adtle caper with Gigan\u00adtia, Cat\u00adwoman appears and says \u201cCome here<\/strong>, Mousey. Let\u2019s talk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adden\u00adda: <\/em>The issue also fea\u00adtures cameo appear\u00adances by the fol\u00adlow\u00ading: com\u00ade\u00addy char\u00adac\u00adters Sug\u00adar and Spike as flower chil\u00addren; Rob\u00adby Reed (of \u201cDial H for Hero\u201d, as evi\u00addenced by his sig\u00adna\u00adture say\u00ading \u201cSocka\u00adm\u00adagee!\u201d); Ultra, the Mul\u00adti-Alien, as one of the heroes; and Vic\u00adki Vale, who has a long-time crush on Bat\u00adman her\u00adself. Oth\u00ader minor vil\u00adlains include Byr\u00adna Bril\u00adliant, the Blue Snow Man; the Human Eras\u00ader; the Crim\u00adson Cen\u00adtipede; Paper\u00adMan; Egg Fu; and Cat Man.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
