It has been an open ques\u00adtion whether one of the orig\u00adi\u00adnal pro\u00adfes\u00adsions, Mes\u00admers, (the one I like the best and the one most rel\u00ade\u00advant to this blog) would be car\u00adried over to Guild\u00adWars 2. To this date, four\u00c2  orig\u00adi\u00adnal pro\u00adfes\u00adsions (War\u00adrior, Ranger, Ele\u00admen\u00adtal\u00adist and Necro\u00admancer) have been announced, as has one new pro\u00adfes\u00adsion (Guardian) but no offi\u00adcial word on the Mes\u00admer pro\u00adfes\u00adsion so far.<\/p>\n

But although it may not be offi\u00adcial\u00adly con\u00adfirmed by Are\u00adnaNet but a num\u00adber of clues have emerged to sug\u00adgest that this will, indeed be the case. And I am a hap\u00adpy pup\u00adpy to hear it.<\/p>\n

Talk\u00adTyr\u00adia, a GW and GW2 fan\u00adsite, has a new arti\u00adcle enti\u00adtled \u2018Hyp\u00adno\u00adtized, Mes\u00admer\u00adized \u2026 By What the Fans Believe\u2019<\/em><\/a> that presents a num\u00adber of facts to sup\u00adport this sug\u00adges\u00adtion. They include the fact that the first GW2 nov\u00adel, \u201cGhosts of Ascalon\u201d<\/em> by Jeff Grubb and Matt For\u00adbeck, and the sec\u00adond nov\u00adel, \u201cEdge of Des\u00adtiny\u201d<\/em> by J. Robert King, both men\u00adtion Mes\u00admers; that a major char\u00adac\u00adter in the game sto\u00adry\u00adline, Queen Jen\u00adnah of the human realm of Ascalon, is a Mes\u00admer (pret\u00adty handy for a Queen to be able to manip\u00adu\u00adlate the minds and will of her sub\u00adjects) and that Jeff Grubb him\u00adself<\/a> has stat\u00aded that:<\/p>\n

Peo\u00adple will, who play a rit\u00adu\u00adal\u00adist or a mes\u00admer or a necro\u00admancer or any of the old, old char\u00adac\u00adters, will feel like they have a home some\u00adwhere in Guild Wars 2.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now I real\u00adize that what lit\u00ader\u00adary char\u00adac\u00adters can do and what the play\u00ader char\u00adac\u00adters will be able to do are not like\u00adly to be the same, but just the fact that she that she is<\/em> a Mes\u00admer is a wel\u00adcome sign.<\/p>\n

So I am now look\u00ading for\u00adward to GW2 and explor\u00ading the abil\u00adi\u00adties of anoth\u00ader Mes\u00admer char\u00adac\u00adter, prob\u00ada\u00adbly a Syl\u00advari (a new race that was born from plants) just because I think they look cool. And, of course, Mes\u00admers are always<\/em> cool.<\/p>\n
