Prac\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly every\u00adone in this show has some kind of men\u00adtal hangup, and that\u2019s the focus of the series.<\/p>\n

For the three main char\u00adac\u00adters, they all have full-grown psy\u00adcho\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal dis\u00ador\u00adders that con\u00adflict and coop\u00ader\u00adate at the same time. The male lead Tarou is a masochist, but only when women do the dam\u00adage; Mio is a sadist and, in clas\u00adsic ani\u00adme style, is self-con\u00adscious about her flat breasts; and Arashiko of the abun\u00addant breasts can\u00adnot stand being touched or even being around men and will even attack them if they get too close. There\u00adfore, Tarou is in ecsta\u00adsy when Mio or Arashiko hit him, and they do, a lot, as Mio gets inor\u00addi\u00adnate plea\u00adsure from doing so where\u00adas Arashiko does so when flus\u00adtered or by acci\u00addent and is imme\u00addi\u00adate\u00adly sorry.<\/p>\n

Its also the run\u00adning joke, that Mio is always try\u00ading to find ways to \u2018cure\u2019 Tarou\u2019s masochism (includ\u00ading an can\u00addle-lit exor\u00adcism) that always wind up rein\u00adforc\u00ading his masochism instead of cur\u00ading it. Of course, one of those ways involves hypnosis.<\/p>\n

The rest of the cast all have their hangups as well: Tarou\u2019s moth\u00ader and teen-aged sis\u00adter are extreme\u00adly<\/em> over\u00adly affec\u00adtion\u00adate toward him (both want to mar\u00adry him) and even com\u00adpete with each oth\u00ader (and his girl\u00adfriends) for his affec\u00adtions; Tarou\u2019s friend Tat\u00adsu\u00adkichi is a cross-dress\u00ader (and quite good at it) and seems to have an alter\u00adnate per\u00adson\u00adal\u00adi\u00adty emerge when dress\u00ading as a woman; Noa, a senior, although her appear\u00adance is still that of a younger girl, is a genius who nev\u00ader had a child\u00adhood as she had to study all the time, and who always refers to her\u00adself in third-per\u00adson; Noa\u2019s assis\u00adtant Yuki\u00adno\u00adj\u00c5\u008d is a major loli\u00adcon<\/em> (fan of pre\u00adpu\u00adbes\u00adcent girls) and joined the Inven\u00adtor\u2019s Club to be clos\u00ader to Noa; and school nurse Michiru knows all about every\u00adone\u2019s hangups, pos\u00adsess\u00ades an appar\u00adent\u00adly unlim\u00adit\u00aded sup\u00adply of cos\u00adplay cos\u00adtumes and loves to take pic\u00adtures of the stu\u00addents in them.<\/p>\n

His\u00adto\u00adry:<\/em> \u201cMM!\u201d<\/a><\/em> was orig\u00adi\u00adnal\u00adly a series of light nov\u00adels that were first trans\u00adlat\u00aded into man\u00adga and then con\u00advert\u00aded to anime.<\/p>\n

Episode #5<\/h3>\n

This episode intro\u00adduces Noa, the Pres\u00adi\u00addent of the Inven\u00adtor\u2019s Club, who dis\u00adcov\u00aders (using a device that is sim\u00adi\u00adlar to the Saiyan bat\u00adtle pow\u00ader meter from \u201cDrag\u00adonBall\u201d<\/em>) that Tarou pos\u00adsess\u00ades an extreme amount of hen\u00adtai<\/em> (per\u00advert) ener\u00adgy (30,000 points where\u00adas the aver\u00adage per\u00adson has 5) and drains it to pow\u00ader her hen\u00adtai<\/em> con\u00adver\u00adsion machine. The pre\u00adlim\u00adi\u00adnary effects are already affect\u00ading the high school: every stu\u00addents\u2019 hid\u00adden per\u00adver\u00adsions are now on pub\u00adlic dis\u00adplay: once the machine is at full pow\u00ader, it will trans\u00adform every\u00adone on the Earth into per\u00adverts, just so Noa would not feel alone.<\/p>\n

How\u00adev\u00ader, Yuki\u00adno\u00adj\u00c5\u008d does\u00adn\u2019t want that to hap\u00adpen, and gives Tarou the Hen\u00adtai<\/em> Rid\u00ader belt, which chan\u00adnels his hen\u00adtai<\/em> ener\u00adgy and trans\u00adforms him into a super\u00adhero. (Actu\u00adal\u00adly, it trans\u00adforms him into a Super Saiyin, com\u00adplete with blond hair and glow\u00ading gold\u00aden aura, anoth\u00ader par\u00ado\u00addy of the \u201cDragonBall\u201c\u00c2  <\/em>series.) But the belt isn\u2019t enough, so he calls Mio (who was sick that day) and starts insult\u00ading her (lack of) breasts. Sud\u00adden\u00adly she appears, kick\u00ading the door open, and starts hit\u00adting him. Recharged by Mio\u2019s attacks, he is able to destroy Noa\u2019s robot guardian by the pow\u00ader of his \u201chen\u00adtai<\/em>\u201d beam by call\u00ading out \u201cHE-N-TA-I-HAAAA\u201d in par\u00ado\u00addy of Goku\u2019s Kame\u00adhame\u00adha beam attack.<\/p>\n

With the guardian defeat\u00aded, Tarou is able to con\u00advince Nao to shut down the hen\u00adtai<\/em> machine by say\u00ading that he accept\u00aded her just as she was. But the machine can\u2019t be shut down, so Tarou calls out to all the per\u00adverts of the world, ask\u00ading them to lend him their per\u00advert ener\u00adgy (anoth\u00ader \u201cDrag\u00adonBall\u201d<\/em> par\u00ado\u00addy bit) by which he can destroy the hen\u00adtai<\/em> machine and res\u00adcue Noa. With\u00adout the effects of the hen\u00adtai<\/em> machine, the school returns to nor\u00admal, with one addi\u00adtion: Nao now rec\u00adog\u00adnizes Tarou as her first true love, although she announces it by appear\u00ading at club door inside a robot and dump\u00ading a load of lilac flow\u00aders (sym\u00adbol\u00adiz\u00ading true love) in the door\u00adway. And she still refers to her\u00adself in third person.<\/p>\n

Episode #8<\/h3>\n

The episode opens with Mio attempt\u00ading to hyp\u00adno\u00adtize Tarou by swing\u00ading a 5\u2011Yen coin before his eyes. Arashiko exclaimed that she did\u00adn\u2019t know Mio knew hyp\u00adno\u00adsis, and Mio replied that she saw it on TV the pre\u00advi\u00adous night and prac\u00adticed it all night. It does\u00adn\u2019t seem to have any effect on Tarou until he instant\u00adly drops into trance. Tak\u00ading advan\u00adtage of his sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion, Mio gives Tarou a post-hyp\u00adnot\u00adic sug\u00adges\u00adtion to end his every state\u00adment with the phrase \u201cHuge\u00adtas\u00adtic boobs!\u201d which he obeys with\u00adout under\u00adstand\u00ading why upon awakening.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s only the begin\u00adning: using hyp\u00adno\u00adsis, Mio attempts to cure Tarou\u2019s masochism, which appear to work, until Noa inter\u00adrupts the process, caus\u00ading Tarou to become enam\u00adored with her, becom\u00ading a loli\u00adcon<\/em>. But that\u2019s just the begin\u00adning: fur\u00adther attempts to reverse the pre\u00advi\u00adous only cause fur\u00adther per\u00adver\u00adsions to emerge. After hug\u00adging Arashiko upon believ\u00ading him\u00adself cured, and get\u00adting punched into the sky in return, he returns to Earth dressed as a Tuxe\u00addo Mask cos\u00adtume, minus pants (a Sailor Moon par\u00ado\u00addy bit) and pro\u00adceeds to romance every girl he sees, exhib\u00adint a vari\u00adety of fetish\u00ades, and that includes sur\u00adpris\u00ading the school nurse with a fetish for her legs, still in the Tuxe\u00addo Mask costume.<\/p>\n

Mio cap\u00adtures Tarou and hyp\u00adno\u00adtizes him one last time, then tests him and dis\u00adcov\u00aders that he is no longer a masochist. How\u00adev\u00ader, Tarou instead becomes infat\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded with his friend Tat\u00adsu\u00adkichi, the cross-dress\u00ader. Mio first tries to arouse Tarou\u2019s mas\u00adcu\u00adline sen\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty by show\u00ading him a sexy Arashiko in a Play\u00adboy bun\u00adny out\u00adfit, but his only thoughts are how Tat\u00adsu\u00adkichi would react. Mio\u2019s solu\u00adtion is to have Tat\u00adsu\u00adkichi cross-dress, which brings out his female per\u00adson\u00adal\u00adi\u00adty, but Tarou\u2019s answer is a mag\u00adi\u00adcal girl trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion of his own, with an empha\u00adsis on \u201ctrans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion\u201d and \u201cgirl\u201d, Sailor Moon style. The nurse Michiru\u2019s answer to the change is to start tak\u00ading his picture.<\/p>\n

Final\u00adly, though Tarou is forced to accept him\u00adself and the part of him\u00adself that is masochis\u00adtic, and all of the false fetish\u00ades dis\u00adap\u00adpear. He\u2019s not cured, but at least he\u2019s back to \u201cnor\u00admal\u201d again.<\/p>\n

Com\u00admen\u00adtary:<\/em> This episode demon\u00adstrates the prob\u00adlem with ther\u00ada\u00adpy that tries to resolve the appar\u00adent prob\u00adlem with\u00adout resolv\u00ading the under\u00adly\u00ading issues. Tarou\u2019s par\u00adent prob\u00adlem is his masochism but that is only the sur\u00adface issue: when Mio hyp\u00adno\u00adtizes him and flat\u00adly tells him he is not masochis\u00adtic, the unstat\u00aded under\u00adly\u00ading issue caus\u00ades him to exhib\u00adit a num\u00adber of oth\u00ader fetish\u00ades in com\u00adpen\u00adsa\u00adtion. Only when he coun\u00adters the suc\u00adces\u00adsion of hyp\u00adnot\u00adic sug\u00adges\u00adtions and acknowl\u00adedge his masochism does the oth\u00ader fetish\u00ades disappear.<\/p>\n
