There seems to be a cycle, as there are times I think that a book with this title comes out reg\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly, with two reg\u00adu\u00adlar pub\u00adli\u00adca\u00adtions already this year: it could a reg\u00adu\u00adlar fea\u00adture of the blog to read and com\u00adment on them alone. But its rare that the crit\u00adics take notice of such books, so its worth not\u00ading when one does.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hyp\u00adno\u00adtist\u201d<\/em> by Lars Kepler is the most recent book of the name, a Swedish mys\u00adtery nov\u00adel (trans\u00adlat\u00aded into Eng\u00adlish) where the hyp\u00adno\u00adtist is not<\/em> the sus\u00adpect or the detec\u00adtive, but in this case an inves\u00adti\u00adga\u00adtor (the third most log\u00adi\u00adcal choice) called in to help the young sur\u00advivor of a series of mur\u00adders recall infor\u00adma\u00adtion about the crime. It was a best sel\u00adl\u00adar in Europe, called the biggest sale of the 2009 Lon\u00addon Book Fair and since received excel\u00adlent reviews in such venues as Enter\u00adtain\u00adment Week\u00adly, the Inde\u00adpen\u00addant (UK), and oth\u00aders.
