Your par\u00adty just got back from a hard adven\u00adture delv\u00ading into ruins, fight\u00ading filthy crea\u00adtures and find\u00ading lots of gold. You all got back to civ\u00adi\u00adliza\u00adtion, and, after get\u00adting your armor and weapons fixed, replen\u00adish\u00ading your sup\u00adplies and pay\u00ading off any old debts, its now time to par\u00adty<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Well, at least that\u2019s the intent, and that\u2019s the theme of the game \u201cRed Drag\u00adon Inn\u201d<\/em> by Slugfest Games<\/a>. In it, play\u00aders select one of the adven\u00adtur\u00aders and attempt to drink the oth\u00ader char\u00adac\u00adters under the table or man\u00adage to \u2018acquire\u2019<\/em> their gold dur\u00ading their stay in the pub\u00adlic room of the Red Drag\u00adon Inn. Nat\u00adu\u00adral\u00adly, the oth\u00ader char\u00adac\u00adters are try\u00ading to do the same thing. The clich\u00c3\u00a9 char\u00adac\u00adter types include such char\u00adac\u00adters as Fiona the Volatile, Dier\u00addre the Priest\u00adess, Zot the Wiz\u00adard (with Pooky, his psy\u00adchot\u00adic rab\u00adbit famil\u00adiar), Ger\u00adki the Sneak and Dim\u00adli the Dwarf. But the one that caught my atten\u00adtion was Eve the Illu\u00adsion\u00adist and one of the cards that the play\u00ader can use dur\u00ading play.<\/p>\n

Eve defies descrip\u00adtion, most\u00adly because no one knows exact\u00adly what she real\u00adly looks like with\u00adout her illu\u00adsions. Her pow\u00aders have saved her fel\u00adlow adven\u00adtur\u00aders count\u00adless times from extreme\u00adly gullible monsters.<\/p>\n

The Good: Eve is a very skilled Illusionist.<\/p>\n

The Bad: She\u2019s been known to use her skills on her fel\u00adlow par\u00adty mem\u00adbers when she gets bored.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sounds like my kind of character.<\/p>\n

And the par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar card? It is this:<\/p>\n

Eve the Illu\u00adsion\u00adist is one of the char\u00adac\u00adters in the first expan\u00adsion set<\/a> (which has been updat\u00aded<\/a>, as the orig\u00adi\u00adnal char\u00adac\u00adter set was under\u00adpow\u00adered) to the orig\u00adi\u00adnal<\/a> game, which now also has a sec\u00adond expan\u00adsion set<\/a>. Its a fast and fun game that takes sev\u00ader\u00adal amus\u00ading lib\u00ader\u00adties with the whole dun\u00adgeoneer\u00ading<\/a> trope and for that rea\u00adson alone I plan on get\u00adting copies of all three at some time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
